Anyone for a Red Guinness ?
From here

Guinness Red is the latest variant to be developed by the good folk in Dublin. Hops, water and yeast are combined as usual but the barley is lightly roasted, giving it a rich red complexion.

Personally I see it as trying to make Guinness appeal to the girls :p

Beers,

Maybe a green version for St. Paddy's day.

At least now we can say that Irish Red Ale is a legit style.

Nice idea but it does worry me a bit.
What would they do to the barley to have it impart a green hue to the brew????
:(

i can't see the dyed in the wool paddy guinness drinker going for it all.

so it still tastes like guiness? like that clear cola they had a few years back? or is it a different beer

Strange....considering their current campaign having a dig at women!

Back in my home town, they would put on Green Beer for St Pat's day. A few drops of green food dye in the schooner, couldn't taste the dye.

I wonder if the bar person has to sprinkle hundreds n thousands on top too :p
