I am fermenting an APA at the moment and I will dry hop with 50g of Amarillo once the airlock slows down a bit. Now I have a problem. I am fermenting this one under the house at 20 deg C. Then I will rack to a secondary or maybe straight to the keg? don't know yet. As I need my temp contrlled keg/fermentation fridge to ferment my next brew, a Lager, where should I put the APA? Is it ok to stick some co2 on top (if I keg) and leave under the house till the Lager is done or should I make room in another fridge a get it cool while the Lager ferments?
I guess my question is, is there any need to rack to secondary if u are kegging? ie. age in the keg, and if so would it need to be chilled?
What do you all do?

Racking to a keg is no different that racking to secondary except that the trub will be left in the keg. Alot of people only ever rack to kegs. No reason to cool it down unless you plan to leave it for months.

If you have a hop ball rack to keg and chuck the ball in the keg and put back under the house. If you dont have a hop ball dry hop in primary and then rack to keg. I used to rack to secondary until recently I changed and just go from primary to keg. Squirt in a bit of CO2 - burp it - then its sealed until ready....if I dont have room in a fridge it stays in the laundry until i have room and then chill it and carb it. Its the 'ole keg/fridge juggling trick.
Cheers

Thanks Steve, that sounds like a plan. Just wanted to run it by some OL KEG HEADS ;)

50g? Going for a subtle aroma there Steve?
You could say that. I am also going to throw a Cascade plug into the keg in a tea ball. Is there such a thing as too much aroma? I dont think so. <_<
