Perlick Taps do they require special shanks

Just sorting out parts for my keezer build do Perlick taps require a special shank it was not mentioned when I ordered the gear but I wanted to check prior to starting my build

Nope, normal shanks are fine. Just remove the springs, self closing mechanisms won't work with the flow control taps.
