I brewed up a batch of very vinegary cider, and was loathe to throw it out(The airlock wasn't on properly and I left it in a taaad too long.)
I had a small sit down and tried to figure out how to remove the terrible vinegar taste. It clicked, and I realized - Baking soda! There's a catch though. It'll remove the vinegar and replace it with salt(Due to a simple ACID + BASE = SALT reaction). So this will leave behind a slightly wierd aftertaste. Which tastes infinitely better than vinegar, let me assure you.
The reaction is instantaneous, and I looked up how to remove the salt but in order to do that it could result in potentially lethal chemicals forming so decided against it.
