The first solo AG is burbling away happily and I now feel (kinda) comfortable exposing myself to the rigours of forum life...
I have been lurking for a while (absorbing knowledge I hope!) and soon the results will be apparent.
Background info...
Bought the keg system first, theory being if I invest the dough there's no quitting. Sat idle for 3 months
Brewed 3 Fresh Worts.
Bought the fermentation freezer and thermostat. Definitely no quitting now!
Half a Doz more Fresh Worts while I got my **** together.
A generous gift of basic AG equipment plus loan of some stuff that actually makes it a pleasure to brew rather than a chore.
WOO HOO!!!
1st AG brew of a recently made famous California Common. Kudos to my apprentice Dan.
Thanks Dan for that and all of the above.
Tasty!!!
The sound of apricots thunking on the roof, and the driveway, and the lawn, and the freakin' everything!!! Waste not want not someone used to say.
Now, I'm starting to thnk that my ambitions have exceeded my abilities. Why Oh Why did I decide that APRICOT PILSNER was the next step in my brewing career. Unorthodox as the beginning was now perhaps was not the time to step out.
The apricots aren't in yet....do I stay the course or did do I take the brew I have and run?
"DON'T FRUIT THE BEER" as someone who looks famous once said.
Cheers
