Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone in or around surounding areas of newcastle are willing to try and have some kind of get together on a regular basis (monthly) for general chit chat and other things?

As I have searched before, only found a AG group which I have not seen so, what I want to do is start something for KK brewer's and AG to learn more ways of doing both brew's eventually all will convert to AG as it is inevitable, But we need something for the begginner's like my self to attend.

any suggestions, or general comments?

thanx jdsaint-KK brewer in newcastle

If ya get in touch with either Kieth the Beer Guy, or MHB online, or head to Marks Home Brew in islington (49 696 696), they have a brew club there that is mainly aimed at the all grain guys, but also has alot of KK guys that come along to the trips and activities. We had a brewday at potters last year, and of the 20 odd guys, about half were KK guys (I think). Mark has organised something on anzac day I believe, and all the guys that will be there are quite friendly and helpful. Alot are very good brewers, and you may find you will learn alot
No affiliation, just a very happy customer, and member of Hunter All Grain.
Hope to see ya there on ANZAC day

Mate 1 of those guy's I did ask & was told that their is a brew team but AG brewer's & that they are not a club just get together. So from he's response was like   I am interested in AG have done ONE yet though, so I thought that their is only a AG team in newcastle I would try & bring another in with KK & AG brewer's.

not being spitful or nothing just want to be in company of other brewers to talk brew and everything in between. I AM ONLY YOUNG BLOKE, BUT THAT SHOULD NOT MATTER!

Besides I am their to learn well thats what i want.

By all means, start up another club, it is no skin off my nose, though I am surprised that they said it was a brew team. To be honest, I live several hours away, and only make it there occasionally, and head out with em on get togethers. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, and I am always treated extremely well at the shop. My first time in, when I was still KK, Mark taught me more about brewing in 30 mins than I had learnt in 6 months of brewing. Sorry if you had a different experience with them, I would assume t is just some kind of misunderstanding
All th ebest

they did'nt say team bro just said they were not a club. MY fault sorry

I have had no trouble with MHB taught me a bit to, each time I go in. Brew shop is on wensday so I will see him again then.

Anyway I found another thread labeled hunter brewing club so I will see if that shakes the dust of things.

thanx trent

Yeah best shop i've been too, always help me out with my dumbarse questions.. i'll be there on anzac day to have a beer and learn some things about brewing. Being young and brewing doesn't matter, just means we've got alot of time to learn how to do it better :)

thats 2 months away still so I will see about it on wensday
