Today I brewed 800 litres of pale ale...what a buzz!

All went well, but a minor problem with the heat exchanger prolonged the transfer to the fermenter.

Thanks to Alan for the opportunity.

Nice work Whistlingjack, how about some pics :)

Didn't get a chance to siphon some off for yourself did you?

Just a dodgy pic from my phone camera.

I did ask, but no, this is a business... <_<

Congratulations WJ, thats Kings class :)

Id suggest to wait some more days and then take quality controls from zwickel (zwickel = a small tap at the lager tanks). Of course you have to control the fermenting stages. 800litres of beer easily evaporates another huge amount of beer, that means, the quality control plus evaporation will be a big loss. :p

Cheers

Of course. I forgot about the zwickel.

I have to take samples when carbonating the beer. 20 litres can easily be lost through the zwickel, being left open by error... :p

Just an update to make you drool... :p

We did a double batch today. About 1600 litres of wheat beer...Southern White Ale. Great name, good beer.

A long day's work, but I'm not complaining.

Edit: typos
