The NSW town of Yenda – home to Australia's largest family-owned winemaker – is best known for its rice paddies and vineyards. But soft drink bottler Coca-Cola Amatil hopes the Riverina hamlet will soon become synonymous with craft beer.

I saw some of this "Australian Beer Company" beer on tap at TGI Fridays in the city a few weeks back. Tried the pale ale, and it wasn't too bad, surprisingly.

Hope the beer is better than Cassela's YellowTail wines...could be the new VB....

Ah, OK. I've always thought their marketing smacked of sucking up to "neo-nostalgia" type craft brew marketing. The beer's OK. Nothing special, but not a bad attempt coming from a major. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing distinctive either.
