Thanks for that WY. My setup is a little different in configuration, as per my gallery, but in principle it's the same mehod. He seems to have thought of everything to reduce the tedium aspects of the process, including the tiresom need to keep hitching & unhitching tubes & shifting things around.

My first brews where fly sparge as thats all I knew. Then I went in to Craftbrewer and was told how to batch sparge What a difference it made in time saving.

Time is not a problem for me,mate, I'm retired & I've got an excuse to put off any maintenance around the house that's on the other half's list of jobs. Wink! wink!

Yup, thats correct. Fly sparging is generally a much slower method of sparging.



That's the result of a long Monday at work :( Should have read "as long as your grain remains wet"

........................and that resulted in the first pub with no beer. And I thought you loved beer!. Jeez I'm DRY. (LOL)

to fly or not too fly
just pump up the 77 degree water and rinse when your wash out reading approaches 1006 can it
is this the same dog with a different collar
all we want to do is extgract the lazy sugar in the bed!
