erm... WTF?

I travelled with them for $1.00 last week....well worth the $1.00 :D

You got ripped off...

No way you'd catch me on a Bogan Star jet................................... no way.

Even for $0.05.

And yes, i have flown with them in the past.

Never, never again.

Why is that? Bad experience?

I have never had a bad experience with cheap airlines, but I guess it depends on where your standards lie.

I swore that a while back too. Recently SWMBO booked us on a cheap flight. They are better now that they at least assign seats, but you still get that herded cattle feeling.

The Crap Star hosties are rarely that good looking either.

At least Jetstar fly an actual Jet from Newcastle. Bloody Qantas and those bloody pusbucket Dash 8's, Grrrrr !!!

I flew to Vietnam with them back in June aswell... was great, and for the price difference (generally half) why would you fly with Qantas or similar.... even if you have to pay for your snacks... are you really going to eat an airfare worth of food???

anyway its great on a uni student budget.... next jetstar flight...sydney to kuala lumpar :D

I detested the no seat allocation thing, It brought the worst out in people. Reminded me of the days on the school bus, the big kids had to fight past everyone to get to the back seat. I mean seriously, no seat allocation? They had a complex little chart which said if you have x number of passengers, you need to block off x rows for weight and balance. Wouldn't it just be easier to give everyone a seat? And, yes, i know they allocate now.
If you look at the motives as to why the company was created, and what they have done for the industry in general, you might feel the same way as i do. Not that it matters to the average joe who wants cheap flights....

Didnt realise there was an ivory tower in Mackay , Queensland....

It's a term that's quite commonly used dude. Like Quaint ass, etc.

I thought Virgin flew there too???
At least they did 3 years ago..

well it could of been better if it happened earlier this year so instead of paying 500 bucks to go to melbourne to see my girl graduated i could of payed 5 cents

I fly jetstar when I fly to Newcastle or Melbourne. It's better than 2 hours in the air on Qantas/Virgin, and 2 hours by car from Tullamarine to Geelong. Jetstar flies into Avalon which is much closer to Geelong. I never had a problem with the seat allocation issue. Probably because passengers with small children get to board first :p I do agree that it takes little effort on their part to allocate seats. Probably less effort than dealing with all the complaints.

how fast you drive bonj? 2 hours tulla to geelong?

I once had a car that slow. Even my old POS Datsun 260C used to take me 1 hour form epping to avalon. Everyday. (except when there was roadworks). I used to work there...
Ah yes the good old days before ABS. then if some bastard cut you off you could give the brakes a quick stab to let out a squeal, let them know what they did. Try that in a modern car...
