Hi lonte

Interesting to see the different krausen when you have used the same yeast

Assuming the one on the right is the stout?

Got a K&K lager in the fridge lagering at present. Was supposed to be the Christmas beer, but S23 took 4 weeks to ferment out.

Cheers

Yep, Stout on the right, it has about 12 hours headstart on the PA too. The Yeast was from the slurry left from a 3.5% Mild Ale - those second gen yeasts always bloom into a sweet looking krausen I reckon.

Last time I used S-23 at 9-10*C it took about 4 weeks also to finish.

What are the boxes under the fermenters? do you have them sitting on custom made stir plates the whole time?

hehehe ... I was waiting for some comments. No they are just boring old (OLD) SCSI disk packs - just happen to be just a right size to get the fermenters off the freezer floor and fit uner the lid.

That pic's pure beer porn....mmmmmmmmmm krausen....

Open ferments? or did you just take the lid off for pics ?
