30.00 gm Goldings, East Kent [4.50 %] (20 min) Hops 10.4 IBU
30.00 gm Styrian Goldings [4.70 %] (Aroma Hop-Steep) Hops -
0.50 items Whirlfloc Tablet (Boil 15.0 min) Misc

20L - OG 1.044, IBU 35.6, EBC 9.6

Mashed in at 65, mash out 78.

Could i use Goldings (East Kent) instead of Fuggles for bittering? How would Wyeast 1272 - All-American Ale go in this brew instead of Wyeast #1469? Or what would be the lesser of the two evils?

Everytime West Yorkshire yeast is subbed with a **shudder** American yeast, a whippet dies down a coal mine. You don't hate whippets, do you?

...........who would think of doing something to a whippet? surely the world we live in is one where whippets are safe from persecution & the clouds are made of cotton wool......... -_-

Sub EKG fopr bittering, no probs. I would stick with 1469 or at the very least, another good english yeast. I have a TTL on tap right now that used 1968. Mmmmmalty!

Thanks guys. I probably new the answer to the question, but my wallet didnt. 1469 it is.

Whats the best temp to serve this beer. Is 4C too cold?

Hesitating to put words in Smurtos mouth, but 9-11C would be perfic, in a Pop Larkin way.
