Hi guys

Just put my first brew in a while down on a whim yesterday using some spare ingredients I've accumulated and was wondering how you all think it'll turn out.

1 x Blackrock Bock Kit
300g Raw Sugar
30g EKG 10min
Craftbrwert Belgian Ale Yeast (t-58)

Made upto 10L.

Smelling very bananery right now, should be interesting.

I'm guessing it will be a very malty brew with a bit of a honey/molasses flavour (possibly a metallic/molasses aftertaste) from the raw sugar.
I haven't tried the Belgian ale yeast before but someone else might be able to tell you how it might affect the flavour profile.

Cheers!
Jono.

Using just a 1.7kg can and 300g of sugar is going to make a pretty thin brew - you'll be looking at midstrength at the very most ABV-wise, although your hopping addition will make it quite a flavoursome brew.

Oh, you've made it up to 10L! Sorry! You'll get an end-product with decent body and a fair bit of alcohol....as in over 7%. You've done a good one there and used a decent yeast to boot - I'd be looking forward to this one!

Cheers - boingk
