So, Kegged a beer the other night, took my FG reading but must've been a bit drunk and forgot to record it!

Force carbed it over the weekend.

If I pull some out of the tap and wait til it warms up to 20c, will any residual carbonation in it affect the gravity reading?

I guess overnight it'd go flat again.

The beer was definitely at FG so not concerned about that, but want to record it for my records and to work out the ABV...

The CO2 in the beer will affect the reading. To get most of it out pretty quickly you can either pour it back and forth between two glasses/mugs or just stir it with a spoon.

Heat some up in a saucepan to around 50C (so as to vaporise dissolved CO2 but not to lose any water). Cool to 20C and take your reading.

Cool, thanks for the replies guys. Figured it would affect the reading but since I've never had to do it before I wanted to confirm!
