Hey All,
Here's the question.....Doing a no squeeze BIAB, how many liters/kilogram do you figure for grain absorbtion?
I just finished my first all grain BIAB no sparge and came up low on my gravity into the boiler. I used 1.04 liters/kilogram for grain absorbtion, but after reading some of the info on this site, I think 0.5 liters/kilogram would have produced better results. I guessed at a 79% efficiency into the boiler, but ended up with 60% efficiency into the boiler. I gave the bag 10 minutes of draining time in a strainer, but no squeeze. Its a Saint Rogue Red Clone, and its happily fermenting away now.
Thanks,
Bob
