Yes....it'll be fine.

cheers Ross

It'll work just fine, just double up on everything (including yeast).

Remember that a 60 litre fermenter full of beer isn't easy to move around though.

Yeah 60l fermentors are f**king heavy as (specially if you have a bad back!). I always get help to move em, i always get help to move 25l too.

What are you planning to brew?

Just a run of the mill tooheys lager with dex to see how well it works
will let you know how it go's

You think a 60l is hard to move, try a 120l :( Doesn't happen.....
You'll be fine with the double batch, done it a few times, but as the others have said, make sure to double everything not just the malt extract and water....and then sit back and get ready to have double the fun :)

use more malt than dextrose, even no dextrose as I find it makes a beer cidery

Watch your ferment temperatures.

Yeast generates some heat as it works.

A double batch has less surface area and less area for this extra heat to be dissapated.
