FWIW I was given a 500g block of Nottingham around 12 months ago. I gave half to another brewer and bagged up the other half into 14g bags under nitrogen. These have been stored in my keg fridge all this time and I used some for an ESB last month. No problems whatsoever with viability and performance.

I also split my 500g block with another brewer [ screwtop] and store mine in 13g and 23g bags and I only use ziplock bags inside ziplock bags kept in a sealed container in the fridge ;) .

I split a brick with Batz nearly 7 weeks ago & store mine in ziplock inside ziplock in the fridge crisper. Put down my 3rd brew with it last week no problems at all.

Ross,

I tried to convince one HBS to make up a 'try before you buy' pack of the fermentis range, but now have seen how the brew cellar people send out their packs. I thought the kit would be around the $20 mark, close to the price of a liquid yeast

Is there any chance of buying a sachet(11.5 gm/15 gm) of each of the fermentis yeasts including the 'supposed' belgians (T-58, etc) in a single pack ?

is it worth dooing it ???
