Hi, just wondering if anyone has used the pet bottle filler from craftbrewer? Just finding it hard to set up as the instructions don't seem quite clear.

I think i have got it mostly sorted out, just need to get some beer line, then do you just add quick disconnects and ad them to your keg and co2 bottle?

How did you go with this Truman?

I recently got one as well, and have these instructions which are useless for putting the thing together. ie: I have several washers (plastic and metal) of different sizes, several threaded nuts etc... WTF do you do with them?

There is some info here, also scroll down for more pics of the connections etc.

Can't find the video I'm talking about anymore. Think there was an other good thread but can't find that either.

EDIT: just noticed I actually linked to the video between the pics, but it's down for maintenance, probably because of the mistake I found.

Is there a VID for the version that's for glass bottles that I got off craftbrewer a few months back???

Just a note:

I found it a lot easier and tidier to rig the gas side of the CPBF up to a gas manifold instead of using the T piece. Obviously you need to have your keg's gas from the same manifold the CPBF is though.

So I finally got around to assembling my PET CPBF.

Getting 6mm gas line over those barbs was an absolute BITCH!

Not to mention the PITA it is to get the thing working once you do. The instructions from the Keg King website are completely retarded - it refers to 2 different hoses as "part B" and from then on the rest of the instructions are in bloody Chinglish, either that or they were written by pissed bastards, either way, I would not recommend anyone buy one of these things, you're better off bottling than stuffing around with this ****.

Resurrecting this thread. Mine arrived today, had hoped to have it setup ready to bottle fill for this weekends case swap. But my hands are now covered in blood blisters from having the barb slip and smash me in the fingers and sliced to hell when the barb instead slid and well sliced up my fingers. I've given up trying to get the 6mm beer line onto even just one barb, haven't got the others yet. Have no idea how anyone here managed to do it.

Tried heating the line, nope. Heating the barb, nope. Using a heated screw driver to flare the line, nope. Keg lube, nope. All out of ideas.

Ive always used hot water and pointy pliers to good effect?

You can upen the pliers to get some extra stretch in it.

exactly how i did it.

Hmm, haven't tried that. Will give that a go tomorrow and see how we go.

edit - Cheers for the responses.

This morning I noticed that the gas in and blow off are regular barbs, got them on in 30 seconds each. Gas doesn't appear to leak after a quick test. Promising. If it is a standard shank I might just get a John guest fitting to screw onto the end and be done with it, because the liquid in barb is definitely larger than the other two, the beer line comfortably fits inside the barb!

Thanks guys it's working perfectly! Only mishap, forgot to put the handle back to "idle" before removing first bottle... Beer everywhere. If the wife wasn't in the US this week is be a dead man. Thanks again.

Nice!! First time I used mine I covered half the garage and hall way through the door to the house with coffee stout. Was a grand old time cleaning that mess up.
