Hey guys I don't have anything for a ice bath, I only have cold water to cool down my fermenter, how long is to long? My fermenter has been cooling down in my bath for about 20 minutes..

what temp were you at and what were you aiming for?

A wet towel and a fan can help, what's your ambient temp? No fermenting fridge?

Using a sanitised spoon give it a stir, moving the wort around will help it cool down quicker, rather than letting it sit.
Give it a good stir every 5 minutes or so,maybe less.

Use a stainless stock pot or keg if your fermenter is plastic will transfer heat better in a water bath.
