Thats a pretty good shot, its almost as if it is photoshopped, but realistic enough to be a proper pic. I dont know for sure either way, but it looks pretty cool. At least we know the handles are fairly sturdy on them things!
On the bright side, the bloke coulda picked her up real easy after this - "let's get you back to my room and get you outta them wet clothes"
Good find, Merc

Great photo. Those must have slipped through the net.

The VLB packaging research department has the task of testing the steins used at the Oktoberfest. Each year the various breweries involved send several cartons to be tested for exactly that problem.

They place them in a machine that crashes them together at certain velocities.

Nice food on those plates... :p

she got owned!

all i can think about is licking up the wasted beer

Interesting both the plates are on her side of the table

Nice....I'm guessing they got somone to take the shot as they cheers-ed, but it all just went horribly wrong....but turned out a good photo anyway!

Love how the guy doesnt seem to have a single drop on him, and she got covered hahaha. "Don't worry darl, a few more drinks and you'll forget all about it."

just got sent another half decent one... subject was "this can't end well"

I guess I can't say anything. A friend used to have a stove with a ground fault. If you touched the stove and the sink, you'd get a hell of a shock. So of course this turned into a huge drinking game and great prank to pull on people who didn't know about it. I remember (barely) sitting around the kitchen table, playing cards, when someone would yell "IT'S TIME TO GRAB THE STOVE!!!!!" "YEAH!!!" We'd all join hands and one end of the ***** chain would touch the sink while the other would touch the stove. The first to let go had to drink. Another thing I barely remember is welcoming a friend to the party. My buddy touched the sink with one hand while he held out his hand for this buddy of ours. I had one hand on the stove and the other on my friend's shoulder. The poor ******* who shook hands with Russ jumped about two feet, followed of course by the rest of us laughing really, really hard. Memories.

Unreal photo you came across Merc.
The pool shot however is a worry.Hopefully just a set up with no real power on.

Cheers

I saw two blokes ahead of us at the Schitzenfaced in Adelaide parklands. They lined up for 15 minutes in the full sun on a stinking hot day like we did to buy their steins, then another 10 minutes to get them filled, just like we did. Then they said cheers and smashed their stiens and beer all over the ground like in the photo, only both of them ended up with just handles.

Great action shot.It looks like they downed the first one OK.Perhaps they put more force into the second "clink".

read the blurb

"We were just trying to capture the beer spilling a little bit when we shared a cheers with two liters at the Hofbrauhaus in Munich -- as you can see, the results were slightly different... "

he looks like an ameture camera geek and the reason they prolly moved the pics so beer didnt spill in their breakfast

case closed.

Yeh.... they are kidding themselves....
you need atleast a size 13 rubber thong to float a 4 slot powerboard like that..!! derr
yeah, I think so too, they are kidding. This seems to be somewhere in Germany, the plug system is a german system.

Anyway, the photo seems to be real, the powerbord can swim like a boat, but surely there is no electricity connected to, the pic is made just for fun

:icon_cheers:
