Tracked down San Francisco Home Brewing Reality show BYOB-TV
http://www.kofytv.com/byob-tv/archive/

Worth a look for some internet viewing. Don't think it'll take over masterchef but I found it interesting even just for the ads.

Cheers
Mudd.

Edit :sorry not really all grain. first time I've started a new topic

Its not one of those "OMG WTF BBQ the world will end if we don't get this brew finished in 5 mins and we have run out of malt and now we have to crush more and OMG WTF it will be ruined ... oh wait, that worked well, phew easy" ... like every other 'reality TV' type thing is it?

Man i struggled through the first episode....really nothing to do with being a good brewer so far...good to laugh at the idiots tho.

Justin said on the last Session that it would be a little hard to watch. He claims Ep 2 is better and urged us to hang on in there, even thru the first few episodes. It's not a real easy thing to turn into a reality/game show. And you've got to remember, this is produced with the American local market it mind, I don't think KOFY get's a huge share of the audience really, so production is not going to be as smooth as Discovery for example.

It was pretty bad, but I'm a BN fanboy so I'll watch every single episode and like it.

my expectations were very low, and they were met, barely. looks like someone filmed a corporate teambuilding day to me

i thought the first episode was atrocious, pilsener urqual 100 times over to the point of annoying the shitout of me.i wond er who the sponsers are. the second episode is a fair bit better though. it is what it is.

No Different the the Average BN Production though, I download the Jamil show to find out about brewing a style and 90% of the time you can Fast Forward the first 10 Mins cause it's spent listening to them jerking each other off and making dick and fart jokes and then they cut to break for 5 minutes at a time.

a bit painful to watch but still worth it for a good laugh at the contestants.

It was weird to see Justin and JP in a ad for a Ford dealership, but ads for medical marijuana are a bit of a culture shock for me.

I download also and find a lot of it a bit of a ****-I personally find BrewStrong ok. Be nice to have a good Aussie podcast to listen to I reckon.

Some people just don't get the sense of humour, either way the info is usually top notch and they interview some great people. Cantillon coming up this weekend.

Just watched the second episode and I agree with the others that it was an improvement on the first.

Have to add that I am a big fan of the brewing network and I enjoy the humor and information mix, just wish some of that came out in the B.Y.O.B. TV show.
