Aah what a town. I miss it already. I hadn't been up north in my sentient memory and choofed off to see Motorhead at a friend's suggestion.

I found it to be laid back, relaxed and very easy to find my way around.

The trains were clean, reliable, easy to navigate and went everywhere I needed to go.. I went out to the casino and a Johnny Cash tribute night also while up there and had a blast, crowd are friendly and easygoing and there's a rad music scene up there from the looks of things.

However!! The beer prices were EXTORTIONATE!!! I remember being charged $5.20 for a schooner of VB and $6.20 for a pint. Longnecks were same as here, $4.69ea or three for $12. Carlton Draught was hard to get bottled, impossible on tap but there was plenty of Fourex, Extra Dry, Hahn and Bluetongue on tap. I kept getting offered New but I didn't get that desparate.

Unfortunately most of the time it was too hot to drink.. I consumed less alcohol than on any other trip away so it probably did me good in the long run.
