I was reading on here a month or two ago about fridge temp and how too cold can change the flavour of your beer, not in a good way.

While Ive been waiting for a couple of brews to finish fermenting and caring etc I bought a few Feral Sly Fox 4 pack packs since Dans was having a deal on them.

Really nice drop in my opinion.

I generally sit a few bottles in from of my kegs in the kegerator, but what I noticed is when I took the kegs out for a day or so to clean fill etc the bottle s got a lot colder, really crisp, probably not far off freezing.

Long story I know, the change in flavour was dramatic all I got was a real metallic taste to the point where I didn't want to drink it. I let it sit on the bench for a while and warm up and beautiful again.

I was amazed at the difference

Cold just really mutes flavour.
Beer is generally best stored cold but allowed to warm to drinking preference for consumption.
I prefer most beers around 10 deg, bothing colder than 4-5.

The other thing about super cold beer is that it retains all its co2 until it finds the warmth of your stomach, giving you gassy burps.
