Hi All,

I was wondering if anybody on here had purchased the Aldi Tevion 81cm LCD tv which they were selling recently.

I have found some available on ebay for under $800 and seems a good deal

see: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...p;rd=1&rd=1

If anyone has purchased one, comments?

We purchased a tv from aldi about 3-4 years ago and I have looked inside it (through the grill at the back) and it turns out it is a panasonic.

So could be another good make.....

Cheers Pok. :chug:

I thought this was going to be either a recipe request or a bagging of MVP!

No idea sorry Pok, but as far as I know they're a gamble, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

My brother bought one from Aldi a few months ago for $1500 (I think). He hooked up a HD set top box and the picture is fantastic. It's still working perfectly (as it should).

Aldi don't make their own products, AFAIK. So they're probably the same products you would normally pay a lot more money for.

No affiliation.........

As with all "cheapo" brands; just make sure there's a good warranty (compare with other big brands' warranties) attached and you'll be fine.

One thing to look out for is that some of those eBay cheapo sellers are actually selling seconds - there seems to be a thriving industry around factory repairs and ex-demo stuff, and some sellers are more honest than others about declaring it.
