Picked up a nice gift pack from Dan Murphys (No Affiliation)

5 bottles Schofferhofer Hefeweizen & nice glass in a gift pack .

The glass is better than the pic displays and looks great with the Orange hefeweizen in it and its great white creamy head ,the beer matches the clour of the bottle .

It would make a nice Christmas present from your dog to you .( worth getting a dog for )

I have road tested a bottle already and it is a nice drop .

Not had the hefeweizen but I reckon their krystalweizen was the best beer I've drunk this year. Any chance they have a 5 beer and glass special on it ?

Got an independent liqour store @ Tempe just up the road from me, they stock a pretty good range of Aussie beers (LC's, Murrays, SnowyMntns to name a few) with very few imports (i.e. real imports not the locally made o'seas brands), but noticed yesterday they had about 10 cases of Shoff Hefe and Krys, didn't see a price though, had "08" dates on them though........hmmm four month old wheaties?????

These were fresh hardly hit the ground no old stock special for Krissy !!

It was $24.99

Which works out at $5.00 per 500ml bottle 'and yet there is more' you get the nice hefeweizen glass to drink it from on Christmas morning ( Yep be a poser with the long stemmed glass)

Value of the glass ........to me 'Priceless'


Floppi my advice if the dog is on the budget stop buying it PAL for a month or two and throw it a few shin bones and a knuckle from the butcher .

I have a Schoefferhofer glass from a six-pack offer a few years back. Same logo, different style, with a spiraling rib pattern.

Must get me some more 500ml bottles to go with the glasses. It just ain't right serving this stuff any other way...

Watch how you handle these glasses they are REALLY fragile. I got one a few weeks back and it lasted about 2 hours... Washing it for its first use and snapped in my hands and I wasn't being ruff with it. I was lucky enough to get another one though so all is good.

Kristal will last a bit better than Heffe, as it's all filtered and sterile. The Schofferhofer Kristalweizen is quite nice. I prefer it yeasty and green tho. 7 days from grain to brain!

I've only ever had 2 weizen glasses, one Schofferhofer and one Eridinger World Cup (with a 2006 soccer ball top), and both were lost in the same way. I got a couple drinks out of each of them, tho.
