Looks a solid APA recipe to me. Personally, I'd back off the bittering just a touch. I'd also do my late additions in nice, rounded, metric amounts as well. :p

As a 2nd AG it looks good, looks very similar to my first couple of brews.

A great thread to read is the Skunk Fart thread, plenty of APAs along the same lines of your recipe.

Ditto, cascade is a harsh bittering hop, and at 55 IBU I think that would be assertively bitter.

I think just put the 60 minute addition down to 10 minutes, and round off each addition to 25g and she'll be awesome.

I cant believe im saying this but thats a lot of hops for 11 litres isnt it?

EDIT: What Stu said.

EDIT EDIT: Here's my latest APA's hop bill:

15g Warrior pellets 15.7%AA 60 mins
45g Nelson Sauvin pellets Whirlpool
45g Amarillo pellets Whirlpool
20g Tas. Tettnanger Flowers Whirlpool
15g Cascade Pellets cube-hopped.

Cheers Guys, greatly appreciated, :)

I have just sent off my grain order so i will be putting this down this weekend.

I will drop the first addition to 10 grams and leave the last 2 of 30grams (Beersmith defaults at 28.30grams)

Thanks for the advice

BTW

Brewhouse Efficiency: 75.00 %

Heya,

what was the efficiency for your first batch? i know i wasn't achieving 75% for my first few.

Rob.

p.s. i'd swap the pale for munich and dry hop with half of the 60 minute hops. (thats pretty much what my next brew was going to be anyway!)
