Does anyoen know where I can find the pdf for the 2006 morebeer catalouge? I have the 2005 one but am unable to find the 2006 one anywhere...

also, has anyone ever ordered equipment from them or overseas? Theres a few things that I jsut cant find at any suppliers over here that Im interested in in the catalouge ...

Get your items sent via USPS (United States Postal Service). Ask Morebeer and they will ship it for you via that method. Not sure if they do it automatically or not.

If you ship with UPS prepare to get stung with disgustingly dear shipping charges.

My international orders have all be quite pleasant.

As far as the catalogue I would imagine it's on their site somewhere, but I haven't looked at the site for a while.

Cheers, Justin

FWIW Grain and Grape stock some of the morebeer stuff, worth having a look on their sight. Grain and Grape have been excellent in my dealings with them.

Yah, G&G is not bad - still no chillers though - seem to be unable to find anyone in Oz who sells them (im nowhere near handyman status, i cant be arsed making one haha).

Looks like they hafe redone their site as well, so I cant find the catalogue on there anywhere, hence asking if anyeone knew where else it could be, or if even the 2006 one has come out :)

Are you after a CFWC? I know G&G have immersion chillers. Give them a call though, I have found that they have a few things that are not listed on the website - they may still be able to help you.

The 2006 Northern Brewer catalogue is available though, plenty of brewers porn there. :p~~

G&G Have Immersion chillers, Chillus Convolutus & Shirron Plate Exchangers. It's just that they've not put the last two up on their website yet. ;)

The Chillus Convolutus and Shirron are about $250 a piece. :)

Jesus, that's a bit bloody steep. Especially for the Shirron. I think the convoluted chiller works out pretty expensive if you buy it from the states (my calculations show ~$235AUD by Air and ~$183AUD by surface if shipped via USPS). It weighs 13lbs.

The Shirron however costs ~$148AUD shipped via USPS Airmail and only weights 3lbs.

I don't know what taxes and shipping charges Grain and Grape have to pay but I'd hazard a guess they pay a wholesale price on the items. I know there are some quite stiff taxes if your importing something to sell on again through your business but f$5k me drunk, someones on the take.

Oh well. That's life in Australia for the home brewer isn't it. I'd like to buy more locally but I object to just shoving a fistful of cash into someones pocket for the sake of not having to wait two weeks.

Cheers, Justin

By the way, does anyone actually know what taxes etc you would expect to pay for importing good for sale in Australia. I've been thinking about setting some import stuff up myself, guess it's time to go and do some research.
