Trying something a bit different. When i first started brewing, all brews were around mid 20sIBU, now after years of slowly increasing to were i don't mind low 30s. But really love a good IPA. Not sure if it's the maltyness or the hopyness, probably the combination. So am going a bit left field with this recipe. Not trying to be an IPA, just something malty & hoppy.
10min 3CCC's Vienich Ale
2.9kg Wey Munich 1
2.0kg Wey Vienna
0.3kg Wey Carahell
20gm Chinook @ 10min
20gm Centennial @ 10min
20gm Columbus @ 10min
US 05
28lts @ 25.5IBU & 5% ABV
Mash for medium body.
Any comments more than welcome, have ordered grains already, but not sure whether IBU's should be a bit higher to comlement the Malt & Hops or anything else i should consider.
