    I just put down a coles lager with a coopers yeast, BE2, 1kg sugargum honey from a local. Steeped about 25g cascade flowers in boiled water for 15mins then strained into fermenter. Ferment at 18c. See how it goes.

    Bit of a stuff up. I did a coopers draught kit but added the can after half filling the fermenter with cold water. The extract is now just sitting at the bottom. I have pitched the yeast about 7 hours ago. Will the yeast eventually break it up and it will mix or is it too late to try stir it up...

    If it using a can of stout it isn't technically a porter it's a stout. That won't be too sweet with the S04 yeast. Don't boil the cocoa it's nicer in secondary. Cheers

    Bottled today will see how she turns out. Then nipped to the shop, grabbed a can of coopers stout and 600g of dex and pitched onto the yeast cake. Should have some choc and vanilla left in the trub. Should be interesting. Might rack again onto more choc or leave it as a dryer stout.

    Forgot to mentio the recipe also had a can of dark coopers lme. Have added 3 whole vanilla bean pods and 5 more lifesavers. A day later and I can now taste a hint of Cooling mint coming thru. Will leave it at that and give it some time to settle and suck up all the vanilla before bottling
