    150 Lashes Attempt

To get a similar flavour I use coopers pale ale kit, some galaxy hops steeped for 10mins before hand them added to the brew and US - 05 yeast. Gives a nice flavour that is recognizable in the style of 150 lashes.

    Beer Kits and Brew Enhancers

TWOC is great, the guy behind the counter brews and had some great info when I went there. My favorite is Malthouse is welshpool, always have good service there and never felt ripped off. There is another store in Armadale but never have I shopped there so can't comment. Plenty of places around...

    Muntons Irish Stout

I made the TCS coopers stout with light and dark malt, after 2 month's in the keg it started to taste nice, I enjoyed it but my mates who dont like dark beer didn't enjoy it much. Didnt have a lot of body the beer and was a bit strange having such a thin dark beer.

    Cooper's Lager Kit - Advice

Pixiescam, Make sure your lid is on super tight, if it isn't you may not get that satisfying bubbling sound from the airlock. I have one FV lid that has a small leak in it and i never get that bubbling sound coming from the airlock. The beer will still ferment though and you can still drink it!

Safe to leave in the fermenter?

My last brew was in the FV for at least 50 days.Tasted fantastic. I am very lazy though, and I kicked my self for not having put it in a keg sooner, It was a Coopers Pale Ale can. I guess when you have beer on tap and kegs with beer in them the motivation isnt there. I wouldnt do this in summer...

Back To Brewing After 10 Year Gap

Hey Guys! Thanks for the fast responses! I will put the pressure down on my regulator and see if this improves things. I used a Kitchen jug when I measured out my brew, It was a 2 litre jug though, and it is quite possible that I had an extra 2L in there then I was expecting. When I kegged it...

Back To Brewing After 10 Year Gap

Hey Guys! A bit of an update, I have both brew's in kegs and they seemed to go ok, they both finished at 1002(not sure if i read correctly) so I am assuming they both fermented fully. I have a few questions about the keg pressures though, I have a harris regulator and at the moment it in the...

Back To Brewing After 10 Year Gap

Hey Guys thanks all for such a quick response! Im not too fussed on it having a lower alcohol content, I was hoping for a bit more but c'est la vie  . I soaked the lids for 30 mins in sanitizer, said to soak for at least 15-20 mins so will see how we go. It is quite cool in perth...

Hi All After much lurking in this forum for the last few years I have taken the plunge and gotten back into brewing. I bought off ebay a second hand keg setup with two fermenters and all the kit needed to do allgrain at a steal of a price, so I think im setup now for where ever this takes me...
