    Beer Fridge Shorting

I replaced the start relay on my last fridge about a year ago, the part cost me $70 if my memory serves me correctly. It will probably be cheaper to replace the fridge. On a side note, does your temp controller have a delay for the compressor because if it doesn't this can cause alot of wear...

Red Angus Clone - Any Thoughts?

I haven't had one of these for quite some time, but I recall thinking it had a similar hop profile to Bright Ale when it warmed up a little... Maybe Saaz B. When I first tried it at a beer fest, probably a couple of years ago, I recall the guy at the stand saying they used Saaz. The recipe may...

    Fermentation Issues

I pitched directly onto a yeast cake once, and I have never done it again. I can't quite remeber if it had a burnt rubbery smell but I do remember it being a little like vegemite. I put the smell and taste down to Autolysis... When you pitch directly onto the yeast cake it is likely to ferment...

    1030 Bock

Dry pitching into a high gravity wort isn't a good idea, you should re-hydrate first when you're getting that high.

This Is Not Sparta, But Is It Madness?

Thats what I'd do... I don't think you would need to be to worried about boiling efficiency as I don't think you will need much more in the way of bittering. Here is a link to a coopers vintage clone discussion. I'll eat my own words on the Hop... They suggest Hersbrucker, Cascade and PoR...

This Is Not Sparta, But Is It Madness?

The yeast should be fine as it is the same yeast Coopers use for their Vintage ale. Just chuck it all in as Jayse said... Don't boil the kits though.

This Is Not Sparta, But Is It Madness?

I wouldn't use the two kits as it will come out very bitter and pretty strong... However, I'm not much of a fan of big beers so it depends on the style you're aiming for. IMHO I wouldn't use PoR and Cascade together. Did you have any particular style or flavour in mind?
