Forum needs to be active so let's talk political.

Well Catherine Deves has new pronouns. Was and Were Bahahaha Palmers campaign was simply a tax dodge. I think its a credit to our education system that the stupid and the gullible are down to 7% Unfortunately the red headed shrew is still in with a chance. Every court needs its jester I...

    Great northern.... I’m sorry

Rumour has it the megaswill breweries don’t boil with hops at all, the necessary hop extracts are injected into the beer on the way to the bottling line. Disclaimer; there is a high chance this rumour is bullshit.

    Pilsner tips

If your in Perth (I am) you might want to look at diluting your water with distilled to get the salt level down.

    Latest health fad/wankfest?

Totally agree on the “fake” meat, why bother ! My mum (English) made curry, boiled rice with Keene’s curry powder and sultanas. I cringe when I think of it. Diet is weird, Jordon Peterson has an immune disorder, he cured it eating meat, just meat indeed I believe it’s just beef and some salt...

    Latest health fad/wankfest?

I like new stuff. When I was a kid it was well done meat and 3 veg boiled to oblivion. Fish and chips was the only takeaway. Screw that. Fads, trends, greenies and vegans and Keto, whatever, bring it on.

Help getting that crisp Lager taste

I’d disagree on Urquell being a crisp lager, it’s a Pilsner and much fuller bodied with hops to balance, to me lager is much more um, delicate. As for enzymes what do you want to make Hahn extra dry ? **** that. Pilsner malt, some Cara and if you want to dry it off a bit use some flaked barley.

    Latest health fad/wankfest?

I’m not a Vegan, I’ll probably never be a Vegan, but I’m constantly amazed at what Vegan chefs can do. I went to a Vegan degustation at Craft beer bar Baby Mammoth in Perth and was blown away by some of the dishes, one of which featured Savoury Yeast. Don’t knock what you haven’t tried.

    Food Gardening

Spent the day in the garden today mulching the mango, citrus, and asparagus with some sweet homemade compost ready for the summer heat. The best part though ? Hot bath with a pint of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord. Cheers

    Guys, prepare for divorce!

shmbo, it’s all in the context, sometimes it’s respectful and sometimes it ain’t. I seem to remember “mere male” being a thing once upon a time, of course now we have moved on to the advertising industry portraying men as buffoons. Why do the do that ? Because shmbo makes 80% of the financial...

    NEIPA yeast

Commercially my favourite so far has been Biggie Juice from Feral here in WA. Some others come close but thats my benchmark to date. Im not bothered about a bit of protein haze or any haze from hop chemistry, but I think adding flour is just going a bit OTT.

    Robobrew V3 vs Guten

Hi Guys, I'm currently looking at getting a single vessel brewery in the new year, at this point probably the Guten but I may build my own who knows. Just wanted to comment on this overflow business, to get your mashes to the right temperature you need to be assured that your getting good flow...
