Paper, Scissors Rock - Halls Gap

Just back from a few days in Halls Gap. Ducked down to the brewery for lunch. Place smells like a brew day, brewing out back and serving out front. Beers I tried were all pretty good for me. Stone cold hazy - Super happy to see the American wheat beer on the menu, only seen it a few other...

    Whats In The Glass

I had never tried a Smash beer before but it was interesting. Can really get why everyone says it is the best way to highlight individual hop flavours, and malts I guess.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Maybe a really silly question but I have no idea even after reading some old threads. A Gen 4 Brewzilla, will this connect to my standard household power out the box? And lost in talking about Amps and volts? From what I can tell average new house is 240 Volts and Brewzilla says 220/240...

    Your brew day

Thanks guys, definitely not trying to cut corners has been a few years since my last batch so times I mentioned above were just top of my head and really has driven the better discussion about how long I need to plan for when I get started again. Really appreciate all the input you have provided.

    Your brew day

Thanks for the replies, I think I was doing it a bit on the cheap previously and didn’t have all the gear which would help efficiency. Eg. My heating element probably struggled to heat the full 40-50 litres what ever I was doing at the time. Then I didn’t have a counter flow cooling system I...

Smells Fine, Tastes Fine, Looks Terrible...!

Is it still reasonable to bottle? I have no idea but would have thought an infection like that writes off a brew? Genuinely curious

    Your brew day

Looking at getting back into brewing and I think with a young family kids under 5 I found taking the time out on a weekend challenging. Anyway I would love to hear about how others handle their brew days? How long does it take? When do you start? Is it weekends or evenings possible? Generally...

Couple of hot days in Melbourne

Yeah look I thought my gravity was to high to bottle before it was suggested. I used a hydrometer which was measuring what I perceive as accurately in plain tap water. 1.00
