    Keeping A Keg Cold?

I've never tried that either, and was wondering how that affects the head on the beer, and how it effects carbonation of the beer if I can't get the keg cold while carbonating?

    Keeping A Keg Cold?

Well this is definitly long term, I need something to keep them cool indefinitly. I was hoping somone had the knowhow to modify either an existing little fridge with the cooling element as the freezer type or an air-conditioner. I'm pretty good at building things but I'd like at least an idea...

    Keeping A Keg Cold?

Hey any thought as to how one would keep a keg full of tasty brew cold enough to drink? Keep in mind I don't have a refrigerator or funds or space to put one... I was thinking insulated box with ice (in soda bottles) to keep it cool but I don't know how effective this would be. any advice...

    Keg Gassing & Drinking

Hey, great info guys! My gram has hinted that I'm getting a kegging setup for Xmas (she's so great) so I'm kinda wondering what to do with it. One question on sanitation: should I fill with a sanitizer, presurize, and then run it through the lines or is a simple rinse enough?

    Oak Aged Arrogant ******* Ale

How does one ship beer around the world?..I guess just alot of wrapping. I see nothing wrong with shipping it, as long as I don't take a hit, perhaps I need to do some inquiry...Or a brew trade? I'm sure there are some beers in the land of oz that I can't get.

    Glass Carboys

ouch broken carboy, that sucks. I use one for my secondary and think it's fine. I used it for a primary but the lid and the airlock kept getting blown off. personally I can't taste a difference between the glass carboy and the polar water jugs I took from my office. The benefit of these...

    finings...

The only finings I've tried are irish moss, and the results didn't seem great enough to keep on using it. I'm not one to continue to buy things to put in my beer if they don't add to beer in some way. Clarity isn't really an issue as a cloudy brew seems fine to me. This post did get my mind...

    Lager Without Fridge?

Is it possible, given a lager's need for colder controlled temperatures, to brew a lager beer without having a refidgerator on hand? I've never tried a lager simply because of this fact but with autumn arriving and such it has me thinking...

    Good Brew Books

So in an effort to always keep expanding my knowledge of brewing I'm looking for a good first book. Something that can introduce me to practically every aspect of homebrewing; brewing, tasting, styles of beer, etc. Recipes are nice but I'd rather a book full of information. Any suggestions?

    Homebrewer Sues Manufacturer For Injury

I have only been brewing a short while, so how common is bottle eruption? All my beers have survived in tact but when ever I tell someone that I brew beer the first thing they tell me is to watch out for exploding bottles, like it was an urban legend of some sort. I'm just curious as to how...
