Harvested 2 and 1/2 of these buckets (around 2kg) of fresh Chinooks. Cascades and POR to come this weekend. The drying results already smell amazing.

I was there around this time last year and had a great afternoon at the Schneider Weisse brewhouse. Amazing beer, great atmosphere and some pretty tasty, stodgy German food. There are plenty of other places like it, but it was easily my favourite. It is right in the heart of Munich as well.

I normally adjust my water accordingly using Ezy water or whatever it is called, but I am wondering if I assume that the Calcium etc are effectivly zero to begin with.

Do you make any additions like chalk and gypsum etc?

Got access to some rain water for brewing. It is outside of the city, goes through 4 filters (from coarse to fine), a carbon filter and then through a UV filter. Is it safe to assume that this brewing water is pretty much 0 for all mineral content for practical purposes? It tastes really...

Perhaps you are right. I might be better off sticking with my normal IPA base of MO, pale crystal, wheat and a cara and just going hard on the hops. Cheers for the thoughts.
