kuzzy,
That sounds a delicious drop! Cluster is yummy.
I don't think a couple of days in the fridge before kegging will make a difference, I reckon 7 days will chill it and drop out the yeast so you get a nice clear beer to
keg. I leave mine in the fermenter for 14 days, rack to to blue...
2 beers,
How long did you leave it in the fermenter?
Best to leave it in for at least 2 weeks before bottling. It should have cleared well
enough by then.
The old saying goes "Never bottle a cloudy beer"
cheers

BB,
It is advantageous to pour the boiling water on the powdered ingredients
first, these are the ones most likely to be not sterile. You can assume the stuff in the can is.
I generally put the tin in hot water for 10 minutes or so to soften it
(takes less hot water then to mix in)...
fergi,
I set my fridgemate serving fridge on 7 degrees, only because the old clunker seems
to be on all the time when set to 6. (It has to get down to 5 before turning off).
Set at 7, the fridge is not working so hard, and my overpriced, rip-off, privatised electrical supplier is not getting...
That sounds OK. Leave it in the bottle for 6 weeks and you will have a
nice brew, I reckon about 5.5% - 6.00% ABV.
I would be careful of adding extra hops to an already hopped kit, you
can't do much about it if it gets too bitter.
An addition of 12g or so of some aroma hop chucked in after...
I used to use only a primary and chill it before kegging, but found still too much crap in the keg.
So I do 2 weeks primary, rack off to secondary for a week in the fridge, and
then keg.
Doing it this way the beer is brighter (I do not fine) and there is absolutely
no sediment left in the...
The beer out post can be tightened by hand and will still hold pressure.
To clean the diptube, unscrew the post, get a tiny funnel ( the red ones are best)
and pour a litre or so of boiling water down the tube, replace the post, seal the keg
and shake the **** out of it. Release the hot air...
I hate to be pedantic, B) but
meaning it'll take 2 weeks after bottling at the warmer temp to carbonate the bottles.
no mention of carbonation before cold conditioning.
