    Swartzbier From A Kit?

Hi folks, I had a Swartzbier made by Screwtop (all grain), which was fantastic. ;) Is there any way I could do something similar with a can and some grains? I already boil the can, use cracked grains in all my brews, and make my own hop additions. cheers Mike

    Steeping Grains

Hi folks... as a KnK brewer, what do you folks think of steeping grains? Since I started (only 6 mths ago), I have always been steeping and adding extra grains to my brews. I steeped 400 gms of Carapils last night to add to a brew and when I took a good look at it this morning (after it had...

    Time In Fermenter

Thanks for that Adam.... What if I got someone to turn the temperature controller way down to 1 degree to inactivate the yeast(even though it would NOT be finished fermenting), and left it like that, in the fermenter, on the trub, until I got back??? Or what if I got someone to rack it off now...

    Time In Fermenter

Now, my stay has to be extended for 6 weeks, so will my brew be cactus when I get back after sitting on the...

    Sterilising Glass Jars

Hi folks... Just a quick one.... I know that boiling etc will sterilise glass jars (for yeast collection), but can the humble microwave be used to sterilise also? If so, this would surely be a much more convenient method. And if so, how long should they be zapped for? Here is a link to an...
