Well just wanted to reintroduce myself to the site, started off here doing beer and moved to spirits but im doing both now so time to read up and get back into do beer :)

it sucks here in brissy the temps in my house never get low enough to do lagers without temp control,even under my stairs

thats what i noticed by spending as little as $30 and getting myself a temp control it makes the process so much easier then before when i was using a ice bath with frozen coke bottles, as for the beer been great for centuries.... dont think it would have been all that good i asume people just...

its alot easier now i think ,started brewing with hops and dme and now have temp control, love the fact that i can mix it all up and throw it in the fridge and keep it at a nice 18c without frozen bottles or muking around now :)

yea thats the plane well sucks how the sharks are going this year but least ill have plenty of good beer to watch them next year :)

yea was a massive improvement sipping on a pale ale now and is great,will start trying different hops and grains :)

well opened one up and had a glass and wow now i know why people use malt now :)

bottled now just gotta wait

well finally got my stc -1000 so now got temp control,better beer now im hoping

cool thanks for the info,im hoping what i did since it is my first crack (before it was just 1kg of dex) that it turns out descent

So i had a crack at if using advise i got from members on here and this is what i did. Hops bag in boiling water for 20 minutes,then removed bag and added 500g of DME mied it in and then added my tin of pale ale. Added it to the Fermenter and then added 1kg brew enhancer 2,stired it all in and...

so went out and got a pale ale kit and brewer enhancer 2 + finishing hop tea bag.so ill see how it turns out

Damn alot of info cheers guys, ill be putting on 2brews next week so will take all the advise and let yas know how it goes

the first thing i done after my first brew is switch to US-05 and im happy with the results i think to start off with im gonna try using 700g LME and 300 DEX for my next brew and start from there.

thanks for the reply i like coopers Pale Ale so i might start there,got a working fridge free off a mate and im getting a sct-1000 i think it is (temp control unit) next week so got temp control covered,ive done my 2nd run of bulk priming whic worked out good both times so now to work on flavour...

have a Brewers Choice in Kedron,qld i got to all the time is this what you guys mean, i manily drink tooheys new so wanted to get somthing close to that
