I've got a 50l keg of commercial craft cider I got for the price of the keg, but it's back sweetened and I like dry cider. I'm thinking a bout dropping some yeast in to chew up the sugars and make a strong dry cider. Any tips or yeast recommendations? Only cider I've made was dropping beer...

Kegs are 50l, so a bit harder than cornies. I do have empty 19l kegs, but then more risk of oxidation.

I've come into a couple of kegs of craft beer, I think it's Yenda. It's out of date, but tastes ok. Same as it probably did fresh, which is pretty average at best. It really needs a **** load of hops dropping in the top, but I'm worried about ruining it. Its definitely filtered so no yeast...

Yeah i suspect your correct. I guess id better save up for the real deal. I want one for lagers and one for ales, so a bit costly.

I'm really interested in this too. I want 3 x 50l kegs really, and a cheapie freezer. Freezers seem like rocking horse shot at the moment though.

Good idea, that had not crossed my mind. I will dry hop in the FV after primary fermentation, hopefully with about 2 gravity point before final so I can seal it and it can self carbonate.

Hi, I was hoping someone could give me some advice on dry hopping this beer which is now more bitter than I planned for. Should I dry hop to the schedule, reduce the schedule or not dry hop at all? I know dry hopping is said to not raise IBU, but I think it does raise perceived bitterness...
