There's also a bunch of crystals, wheat, rye and I think a 5kg bag of TFFM. Age varies between 1-2 years old, but they have been stored in sealed bags in a converted fridge...

hey dan, as long as you use pellets you can knock out a quad batch in this sized pot no worries, you just need to go a bit over gravity then top up to final volume after the boil, but i think this size pot is awesome for triples yeah pretty sure the pump is the the same as a kaixin The pot...

yeah cox you got it...after it runs out the slots and back into the big pot it goes through a hex then returns back through the copper manifold in the bottom of the keg you'd go alright at lifting the keg out of the pot as you have a strong forearm, apparently

Hey danwood, I was going to get all fancy with my rig like yours, but ended up going with this. It's a 98L 'ex' BIAB rig that now uses a decommissioned 50L keg as the 'bag'. The keg can hold over 20kg of cracked grain with some persuasion I have a craftbrewer green pump and it has just enough...

    fathers day brewing

the great thing about a wheat is you can tuck into it after a week, not so much with a kolsch. I was knocking a few a few of mine back on the weekend - 50% wheat, 50% pale, tettnanger to 16IBU & mangrove jack's bavarian wheat yeast...easy as

    Do you smoke cigarettes?

I quit the smokes in November 2009 with the help of champix. The dreams you have on those tablets are the craziest shit you'll experience legally. I would actually pike on social occasions to sleep instead I've had 2 smokes since then and violently threw up immediately after both occasions I...

    Sodium Metasulphite For Chloramine Removal

I was cleaning the fish tank last night and thought of this thread...supposedly, sodium thiosulphate the active ingredient in water aging stuff knocks out chlorine and chloramine instantly. Anyone know if this could be of any use to us brewers?

    Heating advice

Sounds fine to me. You could also BIAB as planned, but use the other pot as an electric HLT. Just insulate it and chuck an element in it so you don't have to wait for the burner to heat up your strike water (i.e. use an stc on a timer to heat your water while you sleep). You also get the...
