    The Grand Deluxe is coming

I believe it's 12 months, I will have to ring them, it's not very clear on the paperwork.

    The Grand Deluxe is coming

The issue is the threaded shank on the font is 41.4mm, the flared chromed Bottom of the font is 76mm. I couldn't tell how big the hole was from the photo but worked out that the four attachment holes were 110mm apart and this meant the bottom of the font would only just grab the edges maybe and...

Ok, when I first saw this photo, I had already bought the Carlton font.

Or you could embrace the awesome and get one of these. This has been a huge upgrade for the brewery and you can't deny it does look professional. Don't hate the player

    The Grand Deluxe is coming

Ok, grand deluxe arrived today so have started assembly. Gas manifold not installed yet but andale font is looking great. These fridges are pre drilled and king fonts would be easier to fit. I had to get stainless plates machined to make it work. Big thanks to my brother in law Travis.

    Whats your house beer?

Hi Neo, I made this last Friday, I know you would like one malt, one hop but if you were to take a couple of ingredients out, this could be a lager for you. 90% Pilsner malt 9% Munich malt 1% Caramunich 2 I made a 50 litre batch so you might have to recalculate these... 35g Victoria Secret...

    Tooheys New All grain recipe

Thanks for all the info. Lots of excellent tips. Using dextrose is going to make part of me die inside, but I started this and I'm not quitting now. Attached is my revised recipe. I'll make 40 litres and this raise the volume to 50 prior to pitching the yeast. Mark, I will try and find...

    Tooheys New All grain recipe

Before casting judgement on the beer choice, please read on... My old man has drank Tooheys Draught now New for at least 3 decades. He has quite enjoyed some of the APAs and IPAs that I have had on tap, this was a slow and painful process, but he now comes to our place without his own supply...

Seato wants an IPA for My bday

The very last Nelson addition was dry hopped. I've had some pretty good results with Galaxy, and I used an immersion chiller so the last couple of additions should be more flavour than bitter. I try to stick to around 1 for the BU/GU ratio, as long as I've got enough malt flavours in there to...

Seato wants an IPA for My bday

I used Victoria Secret 15.5 alpha 25g instead of magnum, has anyone else used this hop? I'm a little scared of magnum as you really don't need much. I tried it initially because it was used in Sierra Nevada Torpedo which is a great beer. Try it if you haven't. A 50 litre batch loses about 4-5...

Seato wants an IPA for My bday

This is what I'm making today for my Friday arvo all grain, beer and blues session. I have made a few IPAs that were intended APA's. But this should be right in the IPA range. Double batch in keg king two pot BIAB system. 70% efficiency seems to be standard for me. 6 weeks to the bday so...

American Pale Ale or India Pale Ale? You be the judge!

Was chilled, gets it down under 70 degrees in about 10 minutes and down to 20 degrees in about 30 minutes

American Pale Ale or India Pale Ale? You be the judge!

Ok. You might be right about the dryness, hydrometer sip was sweet but you would expect that. If you were going to modify this recipe to be more APA would you mash at a slightly higher temp (68)ish and back off the early additions a bit to aim for around 40IBU's? I was having a mash tun temp...

American Pale Ale or India Pale Ale? You be the judge!

This is about the forth variation to this malt base and I've really been loving it, been tweeking the hop additions on every run and I think this is going to rock. Equipment: Keg king two pot biab system with immersion chiller, three ring LPG burner. Target volume 50 litres Expected...
