    vale Malcom Fraser

The man saved the whales, and that is a massive tick for me. Ahead of his time unlike the Fark wits allowing the super trawlers. RIP.

2015 Hop Plantations, Show Us Your Hop Garden!

My first year cascade and chinook have been doing well, been hammered by a hot day here and there and strong winds but it now looks like something is eating them. Haven't seen anything in action. They seem to be eating around the base of the leaves and cutting them off. Any ideas? Rgds...

wheat+pils what hops would you use from this house list?(dry h)

Nah bloke and yes. In a 21 ltr batch I chuck in 10 each of citra and cascade in the dry hop. More if it's for me and not me piss hammering mates. Surf coast VIC. Rgds Linford

wheat+pils what hops would you use from this house list?(dry h)

One of my crowd pleaser house ales is Pilsner and wheat with citra to 20 IBU and citra and cascade @ 0.5 gm each per litre dry hop. Real easy 12-15 pots session beer if I can get enough in before the blokes that aren't into "homebrew" demolish it.

    Mega swill critique

Should I have used more even for a 21 ltr batch?

    Mega swill critique

About a dozen AG brews in. Made this for a grand final mega swill brew for the uninitiaited. Starts balanced but finishes sweet. Mashed at 63-65. OG = 1048, FG = 1008. Needs more bittering, could just be my newly developed palate for higher IBU's and hop character. Any other obvious flaws in the...

    Kegging Setups

Mate it seems cool to can keith for a lot of crew but the bloke can play an axe and make it sing. He's in the top echelon of modern day guitarists and those that doubt it, haven't heard him. Or know how hard it is to play anything like it. Yea, love a fish. Barra to tuna. And good at it...

    Kegging Setups

Long time listener, first time caller. Here's mine: I run my kegs in this fridge in the room next to the bar: I run a copper circuit from this fridge, beer lines wrapped around it. Had a glycol reservoir in the freezer with a pump circulating through the copper but it was freezing up so now...

    AHBs biggest tight arse

Stand corrected. And cop it. Just picked up ingredients for a pale and cost me $35. So single batch, 21 litres, almost the same as 2 blocks of VB for the same price as one. Was thinkin bout 17 bucks a slab. And as much it's a shload better, I still love smashin 300 golds out of the Engel when...

    AHBs biggest tight arse

I don't give a fat rats ass. I get what I want, when I want and how I want. Make a great beer and still get it maximum half price for what I'd pay for a 30 block of VB!

Last third of keg pouring foam

Thanks all. I think you are right. I vented the keg a few times and took it off the gas for a couple of days. Back on at 70 pouring pressure for a couple of days and all good. Happy days.
