WANTED: Sandwich base 70+ litre stainless steel pot

In fact, feel free to suggest non-sandwich based pot options too.

WANTED: Sandwich base 70+ litre stainless steel pot

Looking at increasing the capacity of our brew rig and we're after a 70 (or more) litre stainless steel sandwich based pot for a kettle. Any ideas on where to start?

    Help with efficiency

Yeah we actually hit the preboil numbers exactly, even though we had the higher volume. If we got the losses or boil off rate wrong, shouldn't we still have got a higher OG? If the mash efficiency was higher and we actually boiled more off then that's two reasons we should've got a higher OG...

    Help with efficiency

Hey team SimoB and I did a brew today with some new gear and we're trying to fine tune it. Took heaps of measurements throughout the day and we're confused by our original gravity result. We ended up getting more volume into the kettle than the recipe said and the mash efficiency (according to...

First time lagering - quick question

And if we bottled and lagered right away, would they still carbonate?

First time lagering - quick question

With the carbonation calculators, you enter in the temperature as part of the calculation. Wouldn't the calculator adjust the sugar enough to compensate for the temperature (and therefore lack of yeast)?

First time lagering - quick question

Hi team. Currently lagering a Marzen with SimoB and it's the first time we've lagered. We've done the primary and diactyl rest and we're about to drop the temp over a few weeks. Question - should we bottle before dropping the temp, rack into a secondary or just leave it in the primary?

Suggestions for where to stay in Phuket?

Not sure if it's too late but my fiance and I stayed Ruen Buathong. It is incredibly tidy and the owners were the nicest people we met in our 3 weeks over there. It's on the main road, but it's down a 60ish metre side street so you don't get any noise. There are only about 12ish rooms too and no...

Is the pallet size 1800? Because I'd like in too if it's not too late

    The 12 VB's of Christmas.

Father in law drinks VB by the slab. It's no craft beer but it's still definitely drinkable if it's proper cold. In terms of the best mainstream beer though, I'm going to have to agree with the Melbourne Bitter call earlier.

Tips for keeping your fermenters cool over summer

Thanks for all the ideas. Genuinely appreciate the help and opinions. Not worried about electricity cost at all, just the price of a chest freezer. Most that I've seen are $300+ and still only barely hold two fermenters. Maybe I need to look harder/longer and reassess my fermenters too.
