    How would you aim for colour with grain, majority pale malt with caramalt and a tiiiiny bit of crystal? if so how much caramalt is too much I am no good at describing flavors, haven't quite got there yet

    Hey just doing a bit of research ,,, found this thread . reading here https://www.matildabay.com.au/#beez-neez they use pale ale malt and wheat malt ,,, where does the pilsner malt come into it ? im fairly new at this so please dumb it down ... HAHAHA i was looking at 55% pale malt to 45%...

    Cheers i bottled the my punch and judy style today, though early on it still needs work , it still fermented out to 1010. I'm loving MHB's new setup so much closer for me :)

    I know right. First World problems. . . Its just annoying because I was making beers 5.2% but its going to push it over 6%... which will wreck the flavor

    Well ive just finished my third AG batch ,,, realised that my process was a little wrong , corrected that for the 3rd batch ,, but one problem i keep getting is efficiency .... i keep over shooting the projected 74% but about 8-10 points

    can cascade be used as a bittering hop ? or would centenial be a better option ? i dont quite understand the IBU , but when i made my fat yak it had a IBU of around 30, which i enjoyed so i was aiming at the same level
