    I unfortunately read today on Jim’s beer kit that Fullers brewery has been sold to Asahi.Such a shame for this to happen to such a great brewery.I hope their beers don’t get dumbed down with cheaper ingredients to cut costs by the bean counters.So much history.Was looking forward to one day...

    Lallemand/ Danstar London ESB Dry yeast

    I emailed john Preston at grain and grape about this yeast the other day and he said that lallemand australia have just received it andgrape+g will have it in next week.It must be pretty similar to Fullers yeast cos John Keeling the head brewer at fullers endorses it on the lallemand...

    Fast fermenting and flocculating yeast for hoppy ale.

    Mate dried Nottingham is the obvious choice if ya pushed for time,will ferment in 3 or 4 days,drops like a stone,most of the English micros use it or saf 04 so its quality.

    Top 3,Fullers ESB,Sierrs Nevada pale ale,coopers sparkling.     Safale: S-04, strikes again!

    Saf 04 can't be too bad a yeast as the majority of english micros either use it or notty according to jims beer kit,just drinking a beautiful dry stout i made with it now,always rehydrate and haven't had attenuation problems with it for years,great in dark beers

    Beer prices . AFL crowd numbers down.

    I never drink beer at the MCG,it's all overpriced crap midstrength lager in a plastic cup,what annoys me is if CUB pretty much have the market sown up at the G why can't they sell abbotsford invalid stout at the footy,it's a CUB beer afterall.I don't wanna drink lager at the footy in the middle...

    According to the jims beer kit website,saf 04 and dried nottingham seem to be the yeasts of choice for the majority of english micro's,if it's good enough for them....,having said that just made a cracking epa with 1469
