    Beersmith 2.0 Available For Pre-order

Depends if it uses registry keys or not. If so you'll have to do the install on any machine you want to use it on but it should still work out of drop box folder provided you've synced so you've got a local copy of the whole app. Careful with running two instances at once though, good way to...

    Questions About Australia

Well I'm not too familiar with gun laws around the world but I suspect that would narrow your choices of countries quite a lot. I understand that it's fundamental to your culture but other than that I can't actually see the argument for freely available firearms. Unless you think you'll need...

    Questions About Australia

Actually there's a good movie you should watch about an American's experience getting used to Australian culture. It's called 'Welcome to Woop Woop'. Pretty much spot on how it's gonna be.

    Questions About Australia

That'll land you in a pile of shit. Illegal to shoot dropbears, koalas, possums... and just about anything poisonous. You find a deadly taipan under your house you leave it there, that's the rules. I lived on a property infested with the things once. Learned to deal with it eventually.

Drilling 21mm Hole For Tap Shank, How Do U Do It?

presumably the 21mm part is threaded so it can be secured from the other side and the outside part is larger than 21mm? ____i-----| ------____| that sort of shape? If so then the gap won't matter, just get some sort rubber washer behind the fat part to seal it or even some silicone. I make...

    50l Kegs Narangba - $50

Ethical dilemma solved. Very few kegs will hold a seal once a brewer had finished with them :D

    50l Kegs Narangba - $50

Well I didn't mean to start a shitstorm. It would seem to me that the bloke is just trying to recover the $50 deposit that he's rightfully entitled to and the supplier is effectively refusing to give back. All I was offering to do was put people in contact with him but he's got no idea about...

    50l Kegs Narangba - $50

Definitely not stolen. As I said he owns a pub and they came from there. Apparently he changed supplier and the the old supplier refused to come and pick up the kegs (and therefore refund the deposit) because the pub is somewhere fairly remote. The $50 he wants is just to cover his deposit...

    50l Kegs Narangba - $50

One of my neighbors owns a pub somewhere and for whatever reason has 5 * 50L kegs (4 after I've snavelled one) he wants to get rid of for $50 each. Had a look this arvo and they are in good condition. Hold a seal etc. If you want one let me know and I'll put you in touch.

When Machinists Get Bored At Work...

Lovely work wallace! I've just bought a mini-lathe because I got so sick of trying to get fittings that don't exist I figured I'd just make them myself. Still learning how to use it but a grain mill is definitely on my list of future projects. Can I ask if you can suggest where a...

    Soda Water

definately agree with the soda first comment. Nothing worse that cordial head squirting out of the bottle. I've used Brissy tap water (unfiltered) and tank water. Tank water was marginally nicer but not enough to justify carrying 20L up a flight of stairs. Tap is right next to the beer...

    English Brewers Yeast

Even if it's not dead. Throw some into the boil to kill it off. Whenever I do a kit brew that's what I do with the yeast that comes with the kit. Tried a side by side test once. It has a noticeable effect on lag time.

    Over Carbed?

The only thing you can do to speed it up is to take it out of fridge and let it warm to room temp. Keep burping it. The more headspace in the keg the faster it will decarbonate.
