    Crown V Swing Top Bottles

Hi, Glass Long Necks or Tallies - I would probably use crown seals if you can because they are "usually" thicker, and only take one press with a bench capper, while some twist tops will take 2 -3 goes to be confident. I prefer the coopers type because they are going to last, but mine also...

Glass Rinser And Water Through An Icebank

Extremely expensive and I can only find on evilbay - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Glass-Rinser-Tray-1...=item3eff8b04b0 I was looking for a more passive approach of a glass cleaner (in a reservoir with alkaline detergent) followed by a more sturdier version of a bottle rinser to wash the bottles...

    Planning A Kegging Setup

I am lucky enough to have a set up - I will warn you right now - buy a brand name Co2 Regulator - A micromatic for preference (alsoo repairable) or a tesuco - I have a cheap chinese version which came with my kegerator and it makes small adjustments extremely painful. After a LOT of research...

    Beer Wenches ;-p

Wouldn't normally reply to a post like this - I am a "female" & I brew - most of the first brewers of beer were women so I cant see what the fuss is. Have you checked out the beer &b rewer magazine edition 2 - has a great article on women in brewing (albeit could never see a home brewing bloke...

    My Bottle Exploded

I tend to keep my newly bottled beer in plastic stackable milk bottle like crates with plastic bin liners until they are ready to be shelved 3 - 4 weeks. This tends to be a cheap satisfactory solution as they stack on top of each other, keeps the light out and keeps pretty stable if stacked on...

375ml Pet Screw Top Bottles And Other Questions

Dear Maxy, Welcome to the wonderful world of brewing ! I suppose out of all the advice I have really taken to heart it is 1. Keep it constant - once you get the temperature of the wort down to the level you want - try and keep it as close to that temperature as you can - take a tiny look at...

    Extreme Sanitising

I wish you all the best with this and will second the use of caustic as being highly dangerous - if you really want to get to know about it - google for a material safety data sheet - it can burn your lungs etc. the best way of clean fermenters for me - use a nice standard microfibre cloth...
