    Mead Conditioning

@JimmyTheHuman Just posting back my progress. My brother and I tested one of the meads after 4-5 weeks. Many delicious flavours in the after taste, nicely potent. Would still benefit from more maturity. I think no carbonation was the way to go, I still have the other demijohn mellowing away...

    Mead Conditioning

Alright just finished bottling it, did a taste, the alcohol is quite strong but there is a nice blend of fruit flavours and spices in the aftertaste, will be great after it sits for a while. I think getting the oranges back out of the demijohn took longer then the actual bottling. ...and now I...

    Mead Conditioning

G'day, I've had a JAO Beginner Mead brewing away, it's now day 55 and it's very clear. I'm going to bottle it shortly I just have a few questions first before I do: 1) I read normal meads (as opposed to sparkling) are flat and you don't add any sugars during bottling/conditioning, is this also...

    Proper Lager Conditioning?

Hi, I have had a lager brewing for 3 weeks now, its SG has hit around 1010 so I've started chilling it. After a week I will bottle it but I was just wondering what temp I should leave the bottles at while they condition. I'm guessing a week at 12*c-ish then another week chilled but this is my...

    Amateur's First Lager

Greetings again my brothers in brewing! Lately I've been on a brewing hiatus due to my areas temperatures, hitting ~26*C during daytime and as low as -1*C overnight however I can still not shake the itch to brew more tasty beer. I'm toying with the of making my first lager, using my beer fridge...

    Collectable Bundy Rum Bottles

The 8 year oak barrel aged is a great drop, I remember my boss got me a bottle back in '08 for covering some extra work shifts so he could go on holiday.

    Golf Weekend

:icon_offtopic: Nice idea with the stealth keg, I don't think the bumps would hurt it too much. When I used to run the drink cart at the local golf course we just chucked all the grog in an oversized esky with a bit of ice, never got any complaints of shaken up beer.

Lookin' For A Good Commercial Stout!

I've never been a big fan of darker beers or stouts, but I'm wanting to give it another go because I don't want to ignore a whole style of beer I could be brewing out of poor taste. So I'm wondering what commercial stout would you recommend to primarily a Lager/Ale drinker to come over to the...

If you about to order the grain why not just add on a pack of Amarillo with it?

    RecipeDB - DrSmurto's Golden Ale

I knocked up the K&K version of this and tried a bottle last night (8 days after bottling because I read Golden Ale is better fresh) although it wasn't as carbonated as I'd like yet, had a great creamy head that wouldn't go away and the taste was nothing short of perfect, far better than any...
