Does anyone have a few boxes of stubbies (bottles that is, not the shorts) that they no longer need? I'm happy to pay a reasonable price or exchange for a few full bottles.
Cheers,
Aaron
Here's an interesting research paper I stumbled across.

#Fairfield boatshed is getting rid of old 285 ml beer glasses for 30 cents each. There were about 100-150 when I was there this morning and they are all in good condition. They are the typical pot style like the one here...
I have a large 2nd year cluster rhizome to give away. It's currently in a pot and has just started shooting bines in all directions.
Pick up only from Reservoir, VIC.
I'm going to Colorado in Oct and will probably spend a fair bit of time in various bars, brewpubs and breweries. What's the etiquette for tipping at these sorts of places if I'm not having a meal?
I'm after 3 super-cheap faucets, with shanks, nipples, handles and everything else needed to connect to beer line and mount through some 12mm ply. If you've recently upgraded or just have some old ones lying around then I'd be happy to take them from you....for the right price. I don't need...
My Tempmate, which has been diligently controlling my ferment fridge for 2 years, is playing up. Here is an example of what is happening:
Set tempmate to 18 deg. In this cold weather the temp will slowly drop to 17.5 deg and the heat will switch on. So far so good. As soon as the heat switches...
I've seen this article from Brewing Techniques posted a few times. I'm planning to have a go at copying the method and was wondering if anyone else has tried. I will try to stick to the reported method as much as possible but there will be a few small differences. This is what I plan to do...
I have all the bits I need to make a PID control box for my RIMS system, I'm just not completely sure how to wire it all together. I have attached a diagram to show how I want it to work. If someone could draw up a proper wiring diagram for me I would be very grateful.
I've used my March pump several times now and it always gets quite hot around the area where the motor is when it's operating. It's hot enough that I can only put my hand on it for a second. Is that normal? It's clamped underneath my brew bench but the air vents aren't covered. I put some oil in...
I have recently installed an electric element (like this) into my aluminium kettle. I brewed with it for the first time on the weekend and it now has very obvious pitting, which never occurred when I used a gas burner. I've done a little reading about ways to prevent pitting and according to...
I'm about to place a big order with Geordi for various plumbing pieces for my new brew rig build. I want to try to order everyting now to save stuffing around later so I'm compiling a list of what I will need. I don't currently have a plate chiller but that is also on the shopping list. I'm not...
Hi Kiwi's,
I'm going to be driving from Akl airport to Whangarei and want to find a decent bottleshop on the way as the ones in Whangarei are crap. Anybody know of a good one that stocks a reasonable range of NZ craft beer? Preferably not too far off the motorway.
I know that many of you don't agree with the idea of automated brewing, but it's an avenue that I have decided to head down. The first step I want to take on my way to what will hopefully one day be full automation, is to be able to do automated step-mashes. I'm a BIABer and I think this system...
I've got a nearly perfect Electrolux Dishlex 302 dishwasher to give away to whoever wants to pick it up from Reservoir, VIC. I say nearly perfect because it's only a few years old and works perfectly.....EXCEPT.....it doesn't heat the water anymore. The fault is due to a dodgy solder in one of...
I've just bottled a Belgian Pale Ale and have some yeast slurry if anyone wants some. I split the batch and fermented half with Wyeast Leuven 3538 and half with Wyeast Can/Belg 3864 (Unibroue yeast). Let me know if you want some and I'll bring it to the meeting on Sunday.
