    Mangrove Jack's M31 Belgian Tripel.

To resurrect an old thread... Why don't you just tip the lot in? I always make a starter 24hrs or more before I want to brew with dry yeast and DME, then make my wort up to final volume minus the starter volume and tip it in. The whole lot goes in. About 7,200L last year brewed that way and no...

    'battle Of The Toucans'

You could just copy the recipe, but halve everything and it will be essentially the same. If you like a bitter IPA, then a Double Draught will be up your alley.

    'battle Of The Toucans'

I like a 2 x Coopers Draught. I warm up 5L of water, add the tins, heat to 68C, then add 150g total of your typical IPA hops (I like 50 each of Simcoe, Amarillo and Galaxy), put the lid on and leave it a few hours. Then fill to 20L to ferment, use the Coopers yeast, then use a good dose of whole...

    Temperature Controller Problem

I WAS offended, I just asked for some info on what I was doing wrong. I just can't comprehend the need to belittle someone with less understanding of a concept or practice. It's counter productive. If you knew it was dangerous, why wouldn't you say so immediately rather than just say it...

    Temperature Controller Problem

Ok, just found out WHY I shouldn't have soldered it. I'll get some connectors for it in the morning (turned off now) and do it properly. I've not done 240V before and didn't realise the heat would melt the solder. So, overall, quite good, and I have learned something rather than just having a...

    Temperature Controller Problem

I soldered the wires that are connected together, ie the blues and browns that go together into the block and the earth wires. I didn't have any connectors and don't really like having wires twisted together. They are not soldered into the block, just together and then held into the block with...

    Temperature Controller Problem

Thanks to those who replied without condescension. Diagrams don't help me a lot and your clear instructions have really helped. Much appreciated. Problem solved. It's all soldered up and working fine now, wort incoming... Thanks again, cheers!

    Temperature Controller Problem

Cheers LethalCorpse, but I'm still not sure what is wrong. Are the wires correct? This is the way I have it now. 1&2 are going to a female 240V plug (then fridge). 11&12 are going to the male plug (then wall socket).

    Temperature Controller Problem

Ok, the full instructions can be found here -> SF-800 Temp Controller Instructions After it did not work, I took all wiring apart and did it step by step to make sure everything was right. I hooked up the power without the sensor so as to get the error code LL, meaning the sensor is open...

    Temperature Controller Problem

Yeah mate, the wiring is done exactly as the instructions state. I've had a few people check it and its 100% the same. Kinda annoying, I wanted to put a new brew on this arvo!

    Temperature Controller Problem

G'Day fellas, I purchased a SF-800 Temp Controller (from keg king) today and after wiring it up, it will not work. The wiring is done as the instructions state. When I turn the power on, the unit counts down the compressor delay time and then the relay can be heard to click on, but, no power...
